Full Description

The first evaluation trench contained three linear features, all of which were on a north-south alignment. One ditch was situated on the existing cropmark and geophysical anomaly whereas the other features had not been identified previously. The third ditch was of a similar size and character to the other ditch, but no dateable evidence was recovered from either feature to confirm a relationship. The first feature was very irregular and is probably the result of animal burrowing. (1)
