Full Description

Two ditches were excavated in an evaluation trench. One ditch corresponded with a linear anomaly identified in the geophysical survey, which is probably the same ditch investigated in another evaluation trench linked to a 'bricked' enclosure. Five sherds of post-medieval pottery was recovered from its fill. (1)

The other ditch could relate to a north-south aligned boundary seen on the 1894 and 1931-2 Ordnance Survey maps. The boundary ditch seen in 3 additinonal evaluation trench. (1)
