Full Description

Rectangular enclosures (2?) and linear features, 2 parallel - trackway ? No ref.

A series of rectilinear anomalies has been detected which mark the locations of at least six enclosures of varying size. These responses correspond with cropmarks. Weaker trends and pits have also been recorded, some are located within the enclosures which may indicate smaller internal subdivisions. (1)

A magnetically strong anomaly is located within one of the ditches which could indicate a deposit of thermoremanent or ‘fired’ material, or perhaps a deeply buried ferrous object. (1)

Weaker linear responses are visible north-west of the cluster of enclosures and likely mark the routes of trackways, many of these also correspond with the recorded cropmarks. (1)

See L 4460 - cropmarks to SW, L 4464 - to NW. See SMR map.
