Abstract/Summary
This report describes the results of an archaeological observation carried out on land at Manor House, Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop, Nottinghamshire.
The aim of the work was to investigate and record any archaeological deposits or features revealed in the development area.
Six ditches and a possible pond were identified during the observation. Four of these ditches, in the west of the site, were probably drainage ditches associated with the bank and hedge at the western site boundary. A modern ditch and a possible pond were also uncovered in the centre of the site. Small quantities of post-medieval pottery and animal bone were recovered during the observation.
