Description
A 205 x 3m trench was excavated parallel to the SE side of the Fosse Way to determine whether Roman road levels or structural remains survived in this area. The ploughsoil was removed by machine and the surface was trowel cleaned and planned. No features of archaeological interest could be discerned. (1)
