Full Description
Approximately 3m to the north of another ditch that spanned two trenches, the ditch measured 0.55m wide and 0.1m deep, with gently sloped sides and a concave base, and contained a single sterile fill 605 of dark grey brown silty sand. The ditch was not observed in any of the other trenches.
Runs parallel to another east-west running ditch that spans two evaluation trenches.
It is possible that the two ditches in Trench 6 form a partial trackway or represent part of a wider field system such as the Romano-British brickwork field system immediately to the east of the site.
