Full Description

One evaluation trench contained two ditches on an east-west alignment, with both corresponding to previous survey data. These were similar in size and character, but the second ditch is thought to be an historical boundary between Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire and is also seen in three additional evaluation trenches, whereas the first ditch is thought to be part of a Romano-British field system.
